Mary's Circle
Small Group participation is essential because it gives us the
opportunity to commune on a more personal level, growing spiritually
and socially, serving others and ourselves.
Specifically: Mary's Circle is open to women of all ages,
with or without children, married or single, who are interested in
forming stronger friendships as well as exploring various women's
issues.
Mary's Circle's goals are to :
1. Name, voice and respond to chosen issues affecting women
through awareness, education, action and advocacy.
2. Be compassionate and just, based on the group's common
interest, concerns and commitments.
3. Develop and nurture friendships that are meaningful and
relevant.
Our Meetings: We meet in our homes once a month September
through June for a planned program as well as time for fellowship.
Our 2003-'04 program topics will include the study of various Women in
the Bible, hosting Chefs who teach, with cooking demos, about Foods in
the Bible and activities for and with Fulton House of Hope. Our
2003-'04 Service Project is Fulton House of Hope in DC, a Christian
based in-house rehabilitation program for women.
Mary's Circle Communication Board is in the hallway across form the
nursery.
